16 from county earn K-State degrees

Kansas State University announced Monday and 16 students from Marion County were among the 3,000 who received degrees this spring.

One of them, Jaclyn DeForest of Florence, also was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s oldest and most prestigious academic honor society for liberal arts students.

The full list of graduates includes:

Florence:  Deforest, Bachelor of Science in Dietetics.

Goessel: Justine Plenert, Bachelor of Science.

Hillsboro: Candace Jost, Bachelor of Science in Education, and Lance Kliewer, Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Science in Education.

Lehigh: Neal Kaiser, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, and David Ratzloff, Bachelor of Science.

Lincolnville: Steven Beneke, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture; Danielle Dorland, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture; and Carlye Simons, Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Industry.

Marion: Jake Bredemeier, Associate of Technology; Evan Just, Bachelor of Science; Adam Regnier, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration; Travis Shockley, Master of Architecture; and Julia Zeiner, Bachelor of Science.

Peabody: Joseph Swain, Bachelor of Science.

Tampa: Matthew Klenda, Bachelor of Science.
