Milton Holloway, Jr. of Chanute has been hired as principal of Peabody Elementary School.

Although Peabody lost out in the Babe Ruth baseball tournament last week at Marion, David Gaines played well enough to be selected to the league All-Star team.

Dennis Fisher and John Wohlgemuth were selected to play in the National FFA Band, which will perform during the National FFA convention in Kansas City in October.
