A Rock Island fuel car caught fire to create a spectacular blaze after a freight train dumped 23 cars in front of the Peabody depot.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Woodruff and children Dianna, Mike, and Lani left Friday for a two-week vacation and to visit with Frank’s mother, Mrs. Wm. Fletcher at Rochester, Connecticut, and his sister, Mrs. Arthur Guerton at Norwich, Connecticut.

Mrs. John Eberle was dismissed from the Goessel Hospital this week and is able to be at home.
