The Cubby Hole Lunch, in the first block on North Second Street, will reopen this Saturday under new management. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dick are the new proprietors having rented the building from Mrs. Emory Hawbecker, owner.

Engagements announced include those of Jean Balzer of Hillsboro to Cpl. Daryle Hiebert of Marion; Mildred Louise Matthews of Marion to Charles Robert Lambert of Wichita; Shirley June Smith of Marion to Ronald Gene Duke of Durham; and Carolyn Mae Smith of Lincolnville to Leland C. Chizek of Ramona.

City Marshal Pete Schambron will return to duty this weekend after a two-week vacation. Officer Harry Mott has been doubling up on time during his absence.

Two Marion businesses move to new locations this week. Marion Furniture store will move from the Schmersey building to the Case building west of Duckwall’s. Also moving to the same block is John Britain’s M-C Radio and TV that is moving into the Winchester building formerly occupied by Reeves Jewelry.

Published this week were the weddings of Virginia Winter and Charles Heerey on Dec. 26, and Donna Jean Christensen and William R, Day, also on Dec. 26.

Elmer Otte and Wm. Munsterman have been coyote hunting by airplane in the Grapes area and got four one day last week.
