‘Roger’ Hett

A memorial service for Lee “Roger” Hett, 88, will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Amblers Club, 2000 Amblers Ln., Stockton, California.

On April 27, 2023, two daughters lost the best dad ever. Daughter Beverly was by his side in their Central Valley, California, home, near where he moved to in 1958.

Born on a family homestead in Marion and a member of Marion High School’s class of 1952, Roger was an avid sportsman who loved farming, bowling, and golfing.

His welding expertise was valued at Valley Steel, Ad Art, and Bear Welding.

A lifelong member and past president of Amblers Club, he also held memberships at Stockton’s Elks and Moose lodges.

Roger was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharolyn Ann (Suffield) Hett, in 1998.

He is survived by his two daughters, Deborah Davenport and Beverly Vanpelt; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
