West Grand St.

Bev A. Harms, 61, 201 Eisenhower St., Hillsboro, backed her 2001 Ford sedan into a 1988 Buick sedan, driven by Roberta Jo Linder, 52, of 1719 140th Rd. Marion, while Linder was turning into an alleyway between N. Main and N. Ash Sts. at 4:25 p.m. on Jan. 16. Police reported no injuries.

Adams and 2nd Sts.

While slowing down to make a turn onto 2nd St., Rhiannon Mechelle Janzen, 21, of 109 N. Adams St., Hillsboro, lost control of her 1995 Toyota sedan. Her vehicle went into a spin before it struck a mailbox and fence on the east side of the street. Police reported no injuries.

A and Lincoln Sts.

While Katie Marie Fast, 27, was backing out of her driveway on 116 S. Lincoln St. in Hillsboro, 11-year-old Kenneth Gene Sedille of Hillsboro struck the left side of Fast’s 1995 Cadillac sedan while riding his bicycle. Police reported that Sedille was injured and was transported to Hillsboro Community Hospital in a private vehicle.

Deer strikes

Anna Elizabeth Weber, 19, of 3510 Sunflower Rd., Ramona, struck a deer with a 2008 Pontiac coupe registered to Lisa D. Hanschu, same address, at 6:05 p.m. Jan. 19 on 330th Rd. west of Jade Rd.

Douglas J. Nyman, 46, of 2204 Bristol Lane, Newton, struck and killed a deer with his 2008 Chevrolet sedan at 6:15 p.m. Thursday on 260th Rd. east of U.S. 56/77.
