Correy Allyn Grogg, 22, 1213 Sundown Circle, Emporia, tried to turn into a driveway but was going too fast and hydroplaned at 6:40 p.m. May 25 in a 1998 Ford sedan registered to Andrea Nicole Campbell, 420 Kaw St., Cottonwood Falls. The vehicle went over the end of a concrete culvert, striking a marker post and stopping in the bottom of the ditch. Police reported no injuries.

Diana Kay Howell, 52, 307 N. Lincoln St., Hillsboro, lost control of her 1994 Mercury sedan on a gravel road, went into one ditch, back onto the road, and into the other ditch at 1 p.m. Thursday. Howell was taken by ambulance to St. Luke Hospital with possible injuries. The vehicle had to be towed.
