A 1997 Mercury Sable driven by Beverly Shipman, 78, Florence, was backing out of parking when the vehicle struck the right rear corner of a parked 2005 Ford F150 owned by Eagle Communications at 4 p.m. Oct. 21. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

US-77 south of 260th Rd.

A 2012 Lincoln MKZ driven by Carrie Carlson, 54, Herington, was northbound on US-77 with her passenger Douglas Carlson, 56, Herington, when the vehicle struck a wheel/tire assembly which was laying in the northbound lane of travel of the roadway at 9:20 p.m. Oct. 21. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

K-15 north of 340th Rd.

William Thomas, 64, Tampa, was southbound on K-15 in his 2000 Ford Ranger when a deer jumped out of the ditch at 6:40 p.m. Oct 21, causing the vehicle to hit both the deer and a “no passing zone” sign.

Limestone Rd. south of 310th Rd.

A 2012 Suzuki Grand Vitara driven by Steven Katz, 30, Lost Springs, struck a deer at 7:14 a.m. Oct. 15. The owner had the vehicle towed from the scene.

US-50 west of Union Rd.

A 2015 Ford Fusion driven by Cindy Karlstrom, 52, Wichita, was westbound on US-50 when the vehicle struck a coyote at 7:35 p.m. Oct. 16. The vehicle, owned by KVC Health Systems of Pittsburg, KS, was towed.

US-50 east of Old Mill Rd.

Cedrick Tresner, 21, Manhattan, was driving his 2013 Kia Forte westbound on US-50 when the vehicle struck a coyote at 1:20 p.m. Oct. 17. The vehicle was driven away.
