HOPE IN THE HEARTLAND:   Always good

Gracepoint Church, Peabody

Recently my family and I went to a restaurant that we’d been to several years ago. We’d always enjoyed this particular eating establishment. We looked forward to having the same kind of positive eating experience. The place looked the same. So surely it would be just as good as always. Right?

Wrong.

It was stay-close-to-the-restroom-all-night-bad. Very disappointing, not to mention it wasn’t cheap. We won’t be going back again.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you could go somewhere and enjoy a feast each and every time? The good news is that there is such a destination. So pull up a chair to the … Bible.

The word of God is food for the soul. It is nourishment that never changes. We’re told to long for it, seek it, hunger for it, etc. And the beautiful news is that the Bible is always a fabulous feast of unchanging quality. And it’s good for the whole family.

So gather your family around this Christmas and enjoy a Bible banquet.
