On Aug. 16, Stan Ammeter took LaVonne Ammeter to Marion for a medical appointment in the morning. In the afternoon LaVonne baked cookies for the Clark family reunion on Saturday.

Neighbor Sandi Fritz came to LaVonne’s to visit on Aug. 17 and brought LaVonne some peaches. Stan and LaVonne went to Peabody for groceries.

The Clark family reunion was Aug. 18 in Burns at the Community Building. Accompanying LaVonne to the reunion were Gary Davis of Newton; Myron and Sally Ammeter, and Chad and Angela Bunger, Mitchell and Colin of Manhattan; Doug and Amy Drake and Daniel of Minnesota; Blaine and Carol Ammeter of Ellinwood; Steve and Melody Magette of Ellsworth; and Stan Ammeter.

Eighty people attended the reunion. The George Clark families were in charge and did a wonderful job. After lunch, there was a meeting, followed by visiting and picture taking.

Later Myron and Sally, Chad and Angela, Mitchell and Colin Bunger, and Amy, Doug, and Daniel Drake went to Peabody to visit Sally’s mom, Opal Craney at Peabody Care Center.

Steve and Melody, Blaine and Carol, and Gary Davis came back to the Ammeter farm to visit awhile. Blaine and Carol stayed all night.

On Aug. 19, Blaine, Carol, and LaVonne went to church at Ebenezer Methodist Church. Carol went home with her folks, Don and Marjorie Gfeller, for dinner and Don’s birthday. Blaine returned to the Ammeter farm for dinner. Stan also came for dinner. Later Blaine went to Gfellers.

On Aug. 20, George and Rose Watts of Agency, Mo. came to LaVonne’s in the morning. They brought lunch and some beautiful roses. They had been to Carolyn Holm’s in Wichita and George Watt’s folks in Newton.

On Aug. 21, Carolyn Holm stopped by LaVonne’s on her way to the Richard Wyss funeral in Florence. After the service, Carolyn and LaVonne went to the Community Building in Burns to visit with the Wyss family. Carolyn took LaVonne home and then returned to Wichita.
