On Aug. 24, Melody and Steve Magette came to the Ammeter farm in the afternoon. They did some cleaning for LaVonne and took her to Marion to keep a medical appointment and to buy groceries. They all enjoyed riding in the rain. Later, the Magettes returned to Ellsworth.
LaVonne attended church services on Aug. 26 at Ebenezer Methodist Church. Leland Jantzen stopped by the farm to check his calves.
On Aug. 27, Sandi Fritz stopped by LaVonne’s for a little while. Stan Ammeter took LaVonne to the doctor in Marion. Myron and Sally Ammeter came to the farm from Manhattan in the afternoon. They had taken Sally’s mom, Opal Craney, to Newton. Sally brought supper to LaVonne’s and Myron did some vacuuming chores. They left for Manhattan late in the afternoon.
In the evening, Chris and Donna Ramsey, Ethan, and Alex of Washington state arrived for a visit. Isaac Ramsey of El Dorado and Stan also stopped by. LaVonne had not seen the Ramseys in awhile.
