Chris and Donna Ramsey and Ethan and Alex will be moving to Seattle, Wash. On Sept. 15, they went to the Ammeter farm for a last get-together, brought supper that Chris fixed on the grill, and they spent the evening. Stan and B.J. Ammeter joined the group for supper.

On Sept. 14, Blaine Ammeter took LaVonne Ammeter to Newton to the doctor, and then they went shopping. Blaine went home late afternoon.

LaVonne went to the beauty shop in Florence in the morning on Sept. 16. In the afternoon, she and B.J. went to Peabody for medicine and groceries. B.J. left for Manhattan to go to the Kansas State University football game.

Donella Humphries took LaVonne to the chiropractor on Sept. 17 in Marion. They ate lunch in Florence and then returned to the Ammeter farm. Carolyn Metz arrived in the afternoon and spent the night.

LaVonne and her neighbors received 2 inches of rain overnight. She and Carolyn went to Ebenezer Church on Sept. 18 for services, then to dinner at Arleta’s in Burns to celebrate Theo Winzer’s 80th birthday.

LaVonne spent Sept. 19 awaiting news of the results of cranial surgery performed on her great-grandson, Mitchell Bunger in Kansas City. The following day she received word that Mitchell was doing well, but that he would have a long recovery ahead.
