Betty Thomas

Services for Betty Thomas, 78, who died Saturday at Schowalter Villa in Hesston, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church.

Burial will be in Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Cemetery will be an hour before the services. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Jost Funeral Home.

Born Aug. 3, 1939, at Goessel to Menno and Kathryn (Dyck) Schroeder, she married James Thomas on July 21, 1961, in Buhler.

He survives along with sons Rusty Thomas of Durham, North Carolina, and Kelly Thomas of Visalia, California; daughter, Karla Reimer of Dominical, Costa Rica; brother Junis Schroeder of Inman; sister Rosella Martin of Hillsboro; and eight grandchildren.

Memorials have been established with Tabor College and or Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren choir fund.
