Bluejay women improve to 3-1 in conference play
The Tabor College women’s basketball team evened its record out at 6-6 last week after winning its second and third conference games in a row.
In back-to-back home games Thursday and Saturday, the Lady Jays defeated Bethel College 64-44 and Sterling College 62-51.
Junior forward Tonisha Dean also earned KCAC offensive player-of-the-week honors after averaging 23 points and three rebounds against Kansas Wesleyan University and Bethany College the week prior.

The Lady Jays are off until they play Missouri Valley College at 6 p.m. Jan. 3 in the Tabor College Holiday Classic in Hillsboro.
Men’s team splits games
The men’s basketball team remained even in conference play, moving to 2-2 after a win and a loss last week. The Bluejays defeated Bethel College 90-78 Thursday in Hillsboro, but lost in overtime to Sterling Friday, 94-93.

The Bluejays play next in the Tabor Holiday Classic at 8 p.m. Jan. 3 against Benedictine University.
Bowling team competes in Nebraska
The men’s bowling team placed sixth out of 10 teams Saturday and Sunday in the Great Plains Open in Lincoln, Neb. Senior Kyle Smith led the team with 1,403 points.
