Brothers reach Day 2 of State

Noah and Levi Schrag,of Goessel made the cut Tuesday for Dav 2 of the Class 1A state competition at Emporia.

Noah tied for third with a total score of 159 Monday and Tuesday. Levi finished tied for 18th with a total score of 180.

With no seniors on this year’s varsity team, the Bluebirds placed second in the regional tournament to earn a spot as a team in the 1A state tournament.

Noah Schrag settled in for an excellent round (74), capturing first at the Halstead course.

Freshman Levi Schrag hit his best score of the season with an 84 and placed fourth.

Hillsboro’s Lincoln Wichert failed to advance to day two at the state tournament Monday at Hesston Golf Park. His score was 95.
