Burns correspondent

Lawrence and Lois Sayers accompanied Greg and Kim Topham to Colorado on Sept. 29. They visited their son and his wife, Mike and Sylvia Sayers at Colorado Springs. On Sept. 30, they went to Pueblo to visit their granddaughter, Kimberly Sayers. They went to the Garden of the Gods and returned home the evening of Oct. 1.

Mitch and Cathy Foote of Manhattan were overnight visitors of Marvin and Sherol Nightengale Sept. 28.

Vernon and Judy Koehn and Renferd and Wanda Koehn, Lonnie, and Carolee took part in a potluck supper at the Eden Mennonite Church the evening of Sept. 30.

In the evening on Sept. 24, Lonnie Koehn’s birthday was celebrated at the home of Renferd and Wanda Koehn. A supper was enjoyed by Vernon and Judy Koehn, Nathan Koehn, Dalen and Bethany Koehn, Rose Forgy, Melissa and Ryan, Luanna Isaac, and Kevin and Jan Jantz, Kaylee, Shawna, and Jessie.

Wayne and Gloria Handle and Brett McMinn came to Marie Clark’s on Sept. 27. On Sept. 28, Wayne and Brett left for Ellsworth and Gloria stayed with her mother. They were guests of Jennifer Stucky and attended the football game in Marion. They were overnight guests of Mark and Lisa Johnson and family. On Sept. 29, they all went to the Old Settlers’ Day parade in Marion.

On Sept.30, they all attended church in Burns and went to Cassoday for dinner with Larry and Diane Nelson. Wayne and Brett picked Gloria up and they returned home.

Marie Clark went to Burns on Oct. 1 for the retirement party for Diane Nelson.

Larry Morgan called on Joyce Kyle the morning of Sept. 28. Morning callers on Sept. 29 were Bob, Brody, and Braxton Kyle.
