Joyce Kyle suffered a family tragedy at the beginning of the month. Her grandson, Chris Kyle, was shot and killed on Feb. 2. She received so many calls and visitors and was driven to Texas by Bob and Becky Kyle for the funeral.

The funeral was Monday, Feb. 11, at Cowboy Stadium in Dallas and Chris was buried Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Texas Military Cemetery in Austin. On Feb. 13, Joyce Kyle returned home with Glen and Daytha Langenegger. Since she has been home, she has had too many visitors to name, but all were appreciated.

Norma Riggs was an afternoon visitor on Feb. 10, of Marvin and Sherol Nightengale.

Vernon Koehn called on Randy and Arlene Giesel and family the afternoon of Feb. 10.

Lawrence and Lois Sayers and Sandy Sayers went to Wichita Feb. 10 to help Lawrence’s brother-in-law, Dave Smith, celebrate his 80th birthday.

In the evening on Feb. 9, Renferd and Wanda Koehn, Lonnie and Carolee, hosted a birthday supper for Vernon Koehn. Guests were Vernon and Judy Koehn, Dalen and Beth Koehn, Nathan Koehn, Luana Isaac, Rose Forgy, and Ryan, and Joyce Kyle.

On Feb. 10, Mary Langenegger and Joyce Kyle were guests of Jim and Beulah Gehring at Moundridge, joining their families to celebrate Beulah’s birthday.

Richard Koehn died Feb. 9 and the funeral was Feb. 13.
