Burns correspondent
Twenty-three seniors and friends met at the Burns Community Center on April 9 for the monthly meeting and dinner. Doni Rogers asked the blessing and then everyone saluted the flag.
Doni Rogers was hostess and she had asked everyone to bring a joke or a funny story for the program. There was lots of laughter as there were some hilarious stories.
After the program the minutes of the last meeting were read and approved as was the treasurer’s report.
The group sang “Happy Birthday” to Mary Glenn to help her celebrate her “39th” birthday once again.
The new fire station was discussed and the meeting was adjourned.
