Burns correspondent

Twenty-four senior citizens and friends met Aug. 13 at the Burns Community Center for a monthly potluck dinner for Burns senior citizens.

Doni Rogers asked the blessing and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Mike Miller, local police officer and Butler County sheriff’s deputy, presented program on identity theft, senior safety, walking safety, and scams. He had many brochures to share.

President James Olberding called the meeting to order. The minutes of the last meeting and the treasurer’s report were read and approved. There was no business to address, and the meeting was adjourned.
