Candidates vote for soup and pie

Staff writer

The good cooks of the Peabody Historical Society will be cooking up some comfort food to help make the candidate selection process a bit more palatable for Peabody voters.

Homemade chicken noodle soup, potato soup, and ham and beans with corn bread will be available along with homemade cinnamon rolls, pies, and cakes, coffee and tea.

The historical society board will be serving from the time the polls open at 7 a.m. until they close at 7 p.m. or until the food is gone.

Peabody’s voting place changes this year from the senior center to the United Methodist Church and the food will be served in the church basement.

Funds raised will go toward historic preservation projects of the historical society.
