Darlene Goering

Darlene J. Goering, 82, who was a homemaker, Sunday school teacher, and church organist at Burns, died June 18 at Sunshine Home, Buhler.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Burns Countryside Church. Pastors Arlen Busenitz and Jeremy Goering will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday at Sunshine Meadows Chapel, Buhler.

Born Oct. 27, 1931, in Galva to Jacob and Minnie Unruh Jantz, she married Howard H. Goering on March 16, 1951, in Moundridge.

He survives along with sons Rod of Hutchinson, Randy of Wichita, and Mike of Lenexa; daughter Lynette Ramey of Newton; brother Harold of Rogers, Arkansas; sisters Elsie Ford of Lawrence and Waunita Decker of Wichita; 20 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

Three brothers, Leslie, Elmer, and Wilbur, and two sisters, Violet Swartz and Pansy Coppock, preceded her in death.

A memorial fund has been established with the Alzheimer’s Association.
