At least six pieces of the playground equipment will need to be removed from Peabody City Park for safety reason, the council heard Monday night.
Denise Krause of Jackson, Miss. and friend, Ellen Langford, flew to Kansas the weekend of Nov. 1.
Boyd R. House, 85, of Wichita, died Nov. 3, 2003. He was a 1937 graduate of Peabody high School and a World War II veteran.

John Balthrop and Vickie Entz attended the state school board convention in Wichita over the weekend.
Mildred Windsor was hostess at a birthday dinner for Helen Stucky on Dec. 6.
Grace Patton’s 11th birthday was celebrated at the Pizza Hut following the Swing Choir program with her grandparents, Clinton and Jo Frick hosting the event.

Erwin W. Slaymaker passed away Wednesday morning after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Ethel, and two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Tate and Mrs. Jay Errett.
Mrs. Ernest Beeton and Mrs. Frank Woodruff and children visited Mrs. Beeton’s mother, Mrs. Nora Boyd, at McPerson Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Herb Hodel and Luana Hodel were in Hutchinson Saturday night where Mrs. Hodel attended the alumni homecoming dinner of Grace Hospital of Nursing.

Mrs. M. Bauslin slipped Saturday, dislocating her right hip and injuring ligaments and bruising her right hand. She is doing remarkably well considering she is 83. Miss Lehman is nursing her and her many friends wish for a speedy recovery.
The Domestic Science and Art classes are preparing candy to sell and fancy work to be put on display at the Domestic Science rooms next Wed. afternoon.
Thomas Osborne went Monday to Topeka to attend a meeting of county assessors.

Jas. Sanner’s delivery horse, frightened yesterday in front of the Goodrich’s market, tore around in a spirited manner, leaving wagon, harness, and goods in amplitudinous promiscuity — or words to that effect. The animal wasn’t hitched.
