Stephanie Lauren Randall, Peabody and Riley Aames Olinnre, Montezuma, were married at 4 p.m. Aug. 10, 2002, at Morningside Community Church in Montezuma.

Marquetta Eilerts displayed some of her works Thursday at the Senior Citizens of Marion County annual meeting. Eilerts discovered her talent after retiring as county clerk.

Community leaders at Peabody are attempting to get broadband high speed Internet service.

Patricia Cullen Ketchum of Peabody will be one of those participating in the Creative Writing Conference at Butler County Community College this weekend.

“Do We Love Kansas Enough?” This topic will be presented Sunday afternoon in a slide presentation and lecture on Kansas architecture by Bernd Foerster, FAIA, professor in the College of Architecture and Design at Kansas State University.

Eldon Andres, Rudy Penner, and Lester Wedel appeared with the Kansas Mennonite Men’s Chorus, giving concerts as part of an effort to raise funds for the World Hunger program. The group sang in Sedalia, Mo. on Saturday afternoon and in Independence, Mo. Saturday night.

Mrs. Iris Friday has purchased the interests of Mrs. Nina Draper Rood in the Draper Beauty Shop.

Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Becker of rural Peabody are parents of a son, Lee Martin. He was born Oct. 6 at St. Luke Hospital in Marion and weighed 6 lbs. 3oz.

A few friends gathered at the Ross Baker home Saturday night to help them observe their wedding anniversary.
