Kevin and Janet Robinson of Florence lost their home and most of their possessions Feb. 25 in a fire.

Peabody-Burns FFA Chapter celebrated 75 years of service Feb. 17-22 during National FFA Week.

Nancy Allison and Mildred Gaines of Peabody were injured last Wednesday in a car-truck accident at the intersection of Highway 50 and the Marion Road.

Andra Shank graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wichita State University at the end of the fall semester.

Harry Hess, retired Peabody area farmer, died last Friday, Feb. 26, at the NMC-Axtell in Newton at the age of 93.

Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Slocombe spent Sunday with their son, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Slocombe, Lynn and Eric at Manhattan.

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Beeton were dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Beeton in Wichita.

Mrs. Jerry Gilmer and son, Jerry, of Manhattan spent from Tuesday to Thursday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Beeton.
