Delores Hiebert

Delores “Annie” (Rutschman) Hiebert, 81, of Newton died Jan. 13. She was born to Waldo D. and Vera Pearl (Stuart) Rutschman in Newton.

She was a 1950 graduate of Whitewater High School. She married Dean Carl Hiebert on March 31, 1950, at Federated Church in Whitewater. They lived in Towanda for 51 years before returning to Newton in 2010.

She is survived by four children, Donald Hiebert of Newton, Kathy Smith of Newton, Garry Hiebert of Baton Rouge, La., and Lesa Hiebert of Newton; a brother, Floyd Rutschman; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Hiebert; a brother, Marlin Rutschman; and two sisters, Carolyn Rutschman and Janet Dean.

A private service was planned. A memorial has been established with United Methodist Church of Towanda.
