Dwight L. Boesker

Dwight L. Boesker, 64, died at his residence Sunday in Marion. He was born Nov. 13, 1947, in McPherson to Albert “Buck” and Lillie Boesker.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and worked for Wheatland Homes of North Newton and Wray Roofing of Newton.

He married Katherine M. Sipes on Jan. 29, 2000.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy of Marion; four children, Kevin Robertson of Topeka, Chris Baatrup of Newton, Jennifer Quimby of DeKalb, Ill., and Denise Crabb of Marion; two siblings, Roland Boesker of Burns and Ruby Jantzen of Moundridge; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two siblings, Ruth and Yvonne Boesker.

Visitation with family is 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion. A funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Zeiner Funeral Home.

A memorial fund has been established for Marion Historical Museum.
