Emergency dispatches

These dispatches were made by the Marion County Communications Department:

Oct. 16

12:05 p.m. — Marion ambulance transported a man with chest pain from Marion County Jail to St. Luke Hospital.

2:16 p.m. — Peabody ambulance and Hillsboro ambulance provided advanced life support transport for a pediatric patient from Hillsboro Community Hospital to Newton Medical Center.

Oct. 17

4:25 p.m. — Hillsboro Fire Department extinguished a fire at the city compost pile.

6:01 — Hillsboro ambulance transported a woman in her 60s in the 400 block of North Ash Street who had fallen and had a headache to HCH. Hillsboro Fire Department provided lifting assistance.

Thursday

5:10 a.m. — Goessel Fire Department responded to a dead tree on fire 1.25 miles south of U.S. 56 on K-15. They returned at 11:22 a.m. and cut down the tree and fully extinguished it.

9:59 p.m. — Marion ambulance responded to Marion County Jail for a man in his 40s not acting right.

Friday

9:37 p.m. — Peabody ambulance transported a man in his 60s who had fallen and hit his head from Peabody Care Center to Newton Medical Center.

Saturday

8:31 p.m. — Ramona Fire Department extinguished a fire in the back yard of a property in the 300 block of North C Street, Ramona. A controlled burn at the same property was called in shortly thereafter.

8:46 p.m. — Lincolnville first responders and Marion ambulance responded to the 200 block of Lincolnville Avenue in Lincolnville for a woman in her 50s who had passed out and stopped breathing. A person on the scene attempted CPR. The patient was transported to Herington Municipal Hospital.

Sunday

12:23 a.m. — Peabody ambulance transported a man in his 50s in the 200 block of North Olive in Peabody with a possible concussion and possible broken hip to Newton Medical Center.

12:27 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance transported a woman in her 20s in the 100 block of south Main Street with self-inflicted lacerations to HCH.

7:53 a.m. — Florence ambulance and Burns first response responded to a woman in her 90s who fell out of bed overnight in the 200 block of North Franklin. Reporting parties said everything appeared OK but they didn’t want to move her as a precautionary measure. The patient was transported to Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.

10:11 a.m. — Marion ambulance transported a patient with chest pain from St. Luke to Kansas Heart Hospital.

11:45 a.m. — Peabody Fire Department, Florence Fire Department, and Peabody ambulance responded to a house on fire in the 500 block of North Vine. The fire was extinguished by 12:27 p.m.

4:14 p.m. — Marion ambulance responded Green Acres racetrack north of Marion for an unconscious and unresponsive 6-year-old. Ambulance transported the patient to St. Luke, and from there he was taken by Life Team air ambulance to Wesley Medical Center.

6:03 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance responded to Parkside Homes for a resident on the floor reporting groin pain.

7:59 p.m. — Hillsboro Fire Department responded to a smoke alarm in the 300 block of Prairie Pointe. It was a false alarm.

Monday

4:17 p.m. — Peabody ambulance transported a patient from the 600 block of North Olive Street to Newton Medical Center for a possible overdose.

6:18 p.m. — Marion ambulance transported a male who had fallen, had pain in his leg, and thought he heard something snap in 300 block of North Roosevelt to St. Luke Hospital.
