Emergency dispatches

March 19

5:47 p.m. — Marion ambulances 1 and 2, Hillsboro ambulance, Marion rescue, and Marion Fire Department were called to the intersection of U.S. 56/77 and K-150 for a two-vehicle crash. Four people were taken by ambulance to St. Luke Hospital, and two were taken by ambulance to Hillsboro Community Hospital. LifeTeam helicopter took patients from St. Luke to Wesley Medical Center. Eagle Med helicopter was placed on standby to respond to HCH but was canceled later. Florence ambulance was called the scene but canceled later.

9:45 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance responded to the Lehigh cemetery for a pregnant woman in her 20s suffering from severe pain. She was taken to HCH, then transferred to Newton Medical Center.

March 20

9:01 p.m. — Peabody ambulance took a woman in her 30s with chest pain from Westview Manor to St. Luke.

Thursday

9:42 a.m. — Marion ambulance made an emergency transfer from St. Luke to Via Christi-St. Francis.

6:52 p.m. — Ramona Fire Department responded to the 300 block of North B Street for a brush pile that caught fire when it wasn’t supposed to.

Friday

5:54 a.m. — Peabody ambulance took a man with a back problem from the 1000 block of North Vine Street to Newton Medical.

Saturday

11:35 a.m. — Peabody ambulance took a man in his 70s who fell and had a head injury and hip and shoulder pain Peabody Care Center to Newton Medical.

Sunday

4:18 a.m. — Marion ambulance responded to the 200 block of South Thorpe Street for a woman in her 80s who was feeling dizzy and sick all over after taking medication. No transport was made.

10:30 a.m. — Marion ambulance took a woman in her 60s who passed out and was vomiting from Eastmoor United Methodist Church to St. Luke.

11:08 a.m. — Marion ambulance No. 2 took a man who was unconscious and not breathing from the 000 block of Lakeshore Drive to St. Luke.

11:36 a.m. — Peabody ambulance took a woman with respiratory distress from Peabody Care Center to Newton Medical.

1:16 p.m. — Florence ambulance, Marion ambulance, Hillsboro ambulance, Florence rescue, Marion rescue, Marion Fire Department, and LifeTeam air ambulance responded to a two-vehicle crash 2 miles north of the intersection of U.S. 56/77 and K-150. One child with glass in an eye and two other patients were taken by ambulance to St. Luke. One child was taken by ambulance to HCH. One patient refused transport.

3:06 p.m. — Peabody ambulance took an elderly man with difficulty breathing from the 200 block of Pine Street to Newton Medical.

6:43 p.m. — Peabody ambulance took a teenage girl who took an excess of medication from the 600 block of West 5th Street to Newton Medical.

Monday

3:08 a.m. — Peabody ambulance took a woman with extreme dizziness from the 200 block of South Santa Fe in Burns to Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado. Florence ambulance was paged but didn’t have a second responder.

3:55 a.m. — Marion ambulance took a man in his 50s with persistently low blood sugar from the 200 block of Walnut Street to St. Luke. Marion Fire Department provided lifting assistance.

11:47 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance took a woman in her 80s who had fallen and had a possible hip injury from the 1200 block of 170th Road to HCH.

1:55 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance transferred a patient from HCH to Newton Medical.

5:47 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance made an emergency transfer from HCH to Salina Regional Health Center.

7:29 p.m. — Marion ambulance took an elderly woman who had negative side effects from prescription medications from the 300 block of North Lincoln Street in Hillsboro to HCH. Hillsboro responders provided first response while the Hillsboro ambulance was in Salina.
