Emergency dispatches

JULY 22

3:52 p.m. — Florence and Burns firefighters responded to a field fire 3½ miles east of Burns. They remained at the scene until 5:02 p.m.

7:22 p.m. — Hillsboro firefighters responded to a fire in an electrical transformer in the 300 block of N. Ash St.

JULY 23

11:23 a.m. — Tampa firefighters responded to a fire at railroad tracks near 2nd St. Some Union Pacific ties had been lighted on fire.

9:43 p.m. — With the Hillsboro ambulance busy on a call at the rodeo at the County Fair in Hillsboro, a Marion ambulance was paged to the 400 block of W. B St. in Hillsboro. The victim was said to have possible rib and head injuries.

Thursday

7:52 p.m. — An ambulance was paged to the 100 block of Eisenhower Dr. in Marion when a 91-year-old female fell in her yard.

10:13 p.m. — An ambulance was paged to the 200 block of Sixth St. in Durham after a 16-year-old female experienced chest pains and had trouble breathing. The patient had a history of seizures.

11:10 p.m. — Marion firefighters responded to a grass fire near 160th and Old Mill Rd.

Friday

6:34 a.m. — An ambulance was paged to Parkside Homes for a 92-year-old female’s severe nosebleed. Firefighters provided lifting assistance.

11:26 p.m. — Peabody firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on US-50 near Peabody.

Saturday

5:18 a.m. — An ambulance was paged to 50th and Old Mill Rds., where a male had been struck by a vehicle. Responders reported possible broken legs and other injuries.

SUnday

12:13 p.m. — A LifeTeam helicopter took a 46-year-old man who had been struck by a vehicle to Salina Regional Hospital after being unable to transport him to Wichita because of storms. Responders reported possible fractures of an arm and several ribs.

Marion ambulance and firefighters also were called.

3:04 p.m. — An ambulance was paged to Peabody Health Center to transfer a 61-year-old female to Newton Medical Center.

4:02 p.m. — An ambulance was paged to the 700 block of N. Locust St. in Peabody to assist a male who was experiencing chest pains.

7:36 p.m. — An ambulance transferred to Newton Medical Center a patient at Bethesda Home in Goessel who was bleeding.

Monday

3:55 p.m. — An ambulance was paged to the 2700 block of 140th St. to assist a 77-year-old female who fell near a pond and was thought to have broken her ankle.

9:18 p.m. — An ambulance was paged to the 700 block of Sherman St. in Marion to assist a 25-year-old female who had been experiencing stomach pains.

july 29

12:19 p.m. — Marion ambulance was paged to the 100 block of E. Chicago Ave. in Lost Springs to assist a 71-year-old female who had fainted. The victim had a history of heart problems.
