BURNS:   Father's day gatherings shared

The evening of June 20, Al and Bonnie Plummer went to the home of Roy and Julie Peters in Leon to celebrate Father’s Day and pre-Fourth of July.

Vernon and Judy Koehn called on Jake and Harvey Koehn at Moundridge Manor the evening of June 21. They also called on Harlan Koehn at Mercy Hospital respite wing.

Marie Clark visited Norma Clark after church June 21. Jen Stucky came later and she and her mother drove to Wabaunsee to see how Martin and Peggy Van der Weg were remodeling their cabin. They also called on Wayne and Dot Loftin, parents of Shayla Clark.

Father’s Day guests of Marvin and Sherol Nightengale on June 21 were Mitch and Cathy Foote, Brannon and Kristen Wilde and family, and Brad and Diane Nightengale.

Sandy Sayers spent the afternoon of June 20 with her parents, Lawrence and Lois Sayers. Bruce Sayers had lunch with them on June 21.

Ronnie and Patti Gaines attended three of Brooke Gaines’s ball games during the past week. On Father’s Day weekend they were joined by Ty, Kim, and Brooke Gaines, Terry and Deann Warhurst, and Reese Warhurst for camping at El Dorado Lake. Dusty Gaines joined them on Father’s Day.

Bob and Braxton Kyle visited Joyce Kyle in the evening on June 18.

Carolee Koehn and her mother, Wanda, left June 1 for Alpine, Utah where Carolee will be working. Wanda returned home June 10.

Renferd and Wanda Koehn called on his father, Nathan, June 21 at Sunrise Apartments in Moundridge.

Lowell Larsen and Joyce Kyle went to the Marion County senior citizen’s board meeting in Marion June 19.

The Twentieth Century Club ladies met Rhonda Brenzikofer at the senior center in Marion June 23 for lunch. They visited awhile and then returned home. Attending were Dorene Kirkpatrick, Sherol Nightengale, Lois Sayers, Norma Clark and guest Gail Topham, and Joyce Kyle.
