The Heart of America Free Flight Association will return Oct. 6 and 7 to Marion Municipal Airport-Baxter Field for the organization’s 12th annual outdoor contest and National Free Flight Society National Cup Meet.

Free flight is the practice of flying model airplanes without any sort of radio or remote control.

Events will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 6 and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 7.
