Geren accused of tire theft, trespassing

Marion resident Kevin W. Geren, 64, was arrested April 28 on suspicion of theft stemming from a March incident involving used tires.
Geren was taken into custody by a sheriff’s deputy on a Marion police warrant.
Geren is alleged to have stolen a set of used tires around 4:40 p.m.March 21 from 56 Express in Marion’s industrial park, police chief Aaron Slater said.
The case was developed through a witness statement. Slater contends that Geren later admitted to taking the tires, which were recovered and returned.
Geren also was cited for criminal trespassing because he previously had been barred from the property, Slater said.
Geren, who has a long history of arrests, was released on a $1,000 bond less than half an hour after booking
