Staff, directors, and youth of the HUB youth center downtown will host a free chili feed on Sunday.
“All of the equipment that was stolen Oct. 9 has been replaced, thanks to the generosity of the community and volunteers,” said Matthew Delvecchio, HUB board member. “People donated $7,000 to the replacement fund and that will take care getting new equipment.”
The HUB was burglarized Oct. 9, and thieves took seven computers, three wall-mounted televisions, two video game consoles, 25 to 30 video games, 30 CDs and DVDs, an unknown number of energy drinks, and approximately $430 cash.
The group will serve chili from noon to 2 p.m. at the HUB.
“This is a way for us to thank everyone who made a contribution,” Delvecchio said.
