Jerry Olsen

Jerry J. Olsen, 78, died Sunday at St. Luke Hospital in Marion. He was born March 2, 1935, at Marion to Clyde and Clara Druse Olsen.

He was a lifetime resident of Marion County and a graduate of Marion High School. He served two years in the U.S. Army in the late 1950s. He was a farmer and truck driver and worked for Aulne Grain for 26 years.

He married Joyce Klein on Nov. 3, 1963, at Marion Christian Church. They had three children, Terry, Sherry, and James.

He was a member of Aulne United Methodist Church, Aulne.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce of the home; two sons, Terry of Marion and James of Peabody; a daughter, Sherry Kaufman of Hillsboro; two brothers, Bill of Lincolnville and Harold of Newton; a sister, Georgia Richards of Columbus, Ga.; and two granddaughters.

Services were to be at 11 a.m. today at Aulne United Methodist Church. Visitation was Tuesday at Zeiner Funeral Home of Marion.

A memorial fund has been established with the church.
