Katherine Crawford

Katherine Ann Crawford, 68, of Tuscon, Ariz., died Sunday, Jan. 19, in the presence of family at their new home in Peoria, Ariz., after a long battle with cancer.

Born Oct. 1, 1945, in Wichita, Kan., to the late Joe and Katherine Reznicek, she and her parents moved to Arizona while Katherine was just a toddler. She graduated from Salpointe Catholic High School in 1963 and received a BS in nursing from the University of Arizona in 1967.

She married Gordon Crawford in 1975, and they lived together in Tuscon for 38 years, relocating to Peoria in 2013.

Katherine is survived by four children: Gary (Debb) Crawford of Marion, Ohio, Gordon “Chip” (Terri) Crawford Jr. of Mesa, Ariz., G. Brandon (Luise) Crawford of Gilbert, Ariz., and Greg (Kim) Crawford of Peoria. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Yvonne Hittle.

A memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Corpus Christi Parish in Tuscon. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at East Lawn Cemetery.
