Lady Warriors drop 3 games

Three contests ended in defeat for the Lady Warriors in a full week of competition. On Feb. 10, the team lost to Elyria 36-13. On Feb. 11, the team was beaten by Remington 62-14. In the final game of the week, Goessel claimed victory over the Lady Warriors, 44-24. The team will next have a home game against Moundridge.

Elyria

Brianna Larsen had two points in the first quarter for the PBHS squad. Elyria scored nine.

Jordan Gibson added a basket in the second and Elyria had a trey. Peabody-Burns trailed 12-4 at halftime.

PBHS offense continued to struggle for the remainder of the game. Larsen had a free throw in the third. Katy Benson had two in the third quarter and two in the fourth. Christa Elliott had a basket and two from the line in the fourth. Elyria added 24 in the second half. PBHS lost 36-13.

Scoring

Benson, 4; Elliott, 4; Larsen, 3; Gibson, 2.

Remington

PBHS was outscored 34-3 in the first half. Larsen had two points and Gibson added a free throw.

Remington offense continued to roll in the last half of the competition, added 28 points. The Lady Warriors had 11 in the final half. Benson added three in the third. Rylie McDowell came up with two treys in the third and a basket in the fourth. PBHS was defeated 62-14.

Scoring

McDowell, 8; Benson, 3; Larsen, 2; Gibson, 1.

Goessel

Goessel took the edge in the first quarter 12-2. Larsen had two for the only PBHS offense.

Benson and Gibson added two each in the second. Goessel put in eight. The Lady Warriors were down 20-6 at the half.

Lady Warrior offense improved in the final half with nine in the third and nine in the fourth. Gibson led the half with six. Elliott added five. McDowell had three, and Benson and Larsen each added two. Goessel offense added 24. The Lady Warriors were beaten 44-24.
