Lady Warrior volleyball team ended in the first round of sub-state at Herington Saturday. The team lost two games to Remington 8-25, 11-25.
For the season, the squad had 12 wins and 19 losses.
Christa Elliott had a kill that tied game one 2-2. Kaycy Gonzalez got a kill and Rylie McDowell got the go-ahead point with an ace at 4-3. Remington rallied and took six straight points. Gonzalez added one more kill, but Remington controlled the contest. PBHS lost 8-25.
Remington took the early lead in the second game before Brianna Larsen scored with a kill, 1-4. Remington added six more before Larsen earned another kill at 2-10. Alyssa Brooks got on the board with 2 kills and Cierra Foth added an ace, but PBHS trailed 5-14.
Katy Benson got a block and Jordan Gibson earned a kill. The Lady Warriors were down 8-18. Larsen and Gibson each earned one more kill, but PBHS lost 11-25.
