Larsen recognized at national EMS convention

Karen Larsen of Peabody, LifeTeam’s education manager, was recognized Oct. 28 at the National Emergency Medical Services Expo in Atlanta, Ga.

The Advanced Medical Life Support education program recognized two of the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians affiliate faculty members nationwide, with Larsen being selected as an outstanding educator. Larsen has been named as an affiliate faculty member for Advance Medical Life Support for the past three years. Larsen was one of the two educators recognized with an award for commitment and dedication to NAEMT’s AMLS program in Region 3, which includes Kansas and 14 other states. Larsen was nominated for her efforts in education that have gone beyond those expected of affiliate faculty members.

Larsen is currently a dual-certified flight nurse and paramedic with LifeTeam and also serves as the education manager for the company. LifeTeam recognizes there is an increased demand for education in rural communities and thereby offers specialized courses on-site at hospitals and EMS agencies. Larsen’s focus is to assist LifeTeam health care partners throughout the state with continuing education for their employees.
