Linda Faye Scarberry, 59, of Emporia died Feb. 8, 2012, at her home. She was born Dec. 8, 1952, in Salina to Wayne and Faye Parks Annis.

She married Daniel C. Scarberry on Sept. 22, 1973, in Emporia. He survives at home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Denise Harvey of Emporia and Nicole McKee of Americus; three brothers, Danny Annis of Mesa, Ariz., Chuck Brown of Grant, Neb., and Larry Brown of Emporia; two sisters, Carla Engler of Burdick and Helen Hill of Mesa, Ariz.; and nine grandchildren.

Her parents preceded her in death.

She worked as a nurse’s aide in Marion and Emporia for several years. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Emporia.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bethel Baptist Church, conducted by Pastor Joe Tuttle.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia. Burial will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Olpe.
