Virgil and Phyllis (Wiens) Litke will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary Saturday.

The couple married June 15, 1948, at Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church in rural Hillsboro.

They have spent all of their married life on a farm southeast of Hillsboro, purchased by his father in 1919.

Along with farming, they started Litke Products in 1970, a company they still own and operate.

The couple had four children: the late Sharon Litke; Glenn and Sheila Litke and Brenda Jordan, all of rural Hillsboro; and Sidney and Priscilla Litke, Port Washington, Wis.

They have nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A family celebration is planned.
