Marion County producers to receive $3.1 million ACRE funds

Producers enrolled in the 2012 direct and counter-cyclical program and average crop revenue election contracts are being paid their earned installments of the direct type payment.

More than 1,500 Marion County producers will receive approximately $3.1 million. There are 45 producers that receive benefits under the ACRE program. Approved direct payment rates are as follows: wheat, 52 cents; barley, 24 cents; oats, 2.4 cents; corn, 28 cents; sorghum, 35 cents; and soybeans, 44 cents.

Direct type DCP payments are calculated by multiplying the designated payment acres of those crops on a participating farm times an established FSA yield times the approved direct payment rate.

In addition, 850 producers will be issued fiscal year 2012 Conservation Reserve Program annual rental payments on general and continuous type contracts that total up to $519,000 for Marion County.

All DCP, ACRE, and CRP payments are disbursed by electronic funds transfer or direct deposit to producer bank or financial institution accounts. A payment transaction statement will be mailed to each payee by the Kansas City Accounting Center itemizing individual payment amounts.
