Marion city council members met for less than a half hour Monday and went through a short list of primarily routine matters.

Council members paid invoices for work on upgrading the city’s water system. Council members also approved drawing down grant and loan money.

City administrator Roger Holter was appointed voting delegate for annual meetings of the League of Kansas Municipalities and Kansas Municipal Insurance Trust.

Mayor David Mayfield read proclamations of Public Power Week Oct. 3 to 9 and Kansas Constitution Home Rule Day.
