Marlene Anduss

Marlene A. Anduss, 78, died Thursday at her home in Marion. She was born July 9, 1935, in Hillsboro to Henry and Mary Lou (Gibson) Gaede.

She married Reign Anduss on Jan. 21, 1955, in Newton.

She was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Association and enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Darelene; and two brothers, Eugene and Lugene Gaede.

She is survived by her husband, Reign of the home; three daughters, Connie Baker of Argonia, Marsha Strecker of Hesston, and Roxan Toppings of Newton; two brothers, Virgene Gaede of Newton and Ragene Gaede of Holcomb; three sisters, Charlene Sullivan of Peabody, Jolene West of Fort Scott, and Rolene Gaede of Racine, Wis.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service was Monday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Bill Eichelberger officiating. Visitation was Sunday at the funeral home. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.

A memorial fund has been established with Good Shepherd Hospice.
