Michaelis reunion draws more than 50

The 21st biennial reunion of the Henry and Pauline Michaelis family was July 28 and 29 at the Crown Plaza at Lenexa. There were 54 family members, two visitors, and one caregiver in attendance. Some members of the group arrived on July 27 to get a head start on the visiting.

Those attending from Peabody were Bessie Michaelis; Frank and Sahron Oursler; Tammy, Derian, Madison, and Dalton Britton; and Teresa, Kristen, and Devon McGonigal. Rob and Steph Oursler of Manhattan; and Ron Michaelis and Kris Aulton of Topeka; and Wilma Broyles of Logan also attended. Valerie and Michaela Williams came from Little Rock, Ark.; Brian, Natalie, and Brett Martin from Norman, Okla.; and Kimberly Madsen came from Andover.

Minnie Rufenacht; Sandy and Dewayne Michaelis; Tyler Michaelis; Wade and Gayla Michaelis all attended from Ness City. James and Deanna Michaelis of Bazine; Bart, Stacy, and Peyton of Goddard; Carrie Marshall of Aurora, Colo.; Jason Wade Michaelis and Charlene Osman of Miller; Darrel and Shirley Schweitzer of Columbia Mo.; Rod and Cheryl Schweitzer of Jefferson City, Mo.; and Lauren Schweitzer of Platte City, Mo.; and Warren and Margy Lohoff of San Antonio, Texas, also attended.

Attending from the Kansas City area were Rosalie Henry of Fairway; Terry and Judy Michaelis of LaCygne; Maggie Michaelis of Olathe; Monte and Pam Michaelis of Lenexa; Gary and Kathy Graves and Sarah of Kansas City, Mo.; Julie, Rick, Brett, and Luke Blau of Overland Park; and Charlene Michaelis, also of Overland Park who made all the arrangements and did a wonderful job.

The next biennial reunion will be held on July 26 and 27, 2014, in the Kansas City area. Arrangements will be made by Bart Dimmit and Rob Oursler.
