BURNS:   Nice weather was perfect for gatherings

Roma and Kenny Koehn of Galva were Sept. 28 dinner guests of Ronnie and Patti Gaines. On Sept. 27, Ronnie and Patti went to Madison and were supper guests of Ty and Kim Gaines and Brooke.

Lawrence, Lois, and Sandy Sayers attended the 60th wedding anniversary celebration Sept. 27 of friends, Jim and Ramona Carselovcry in Wichita. Bruce Sayers was a dinner guest Sept. 28 of his parents, Lawrence and Lois.

Marie Clark accompanied Beth Wolf to a neighborhood get-together in the afternoon on Sept. 27 at the home of Virgil and Nancy Lewis.

After dinner Sept. 28 with Martin and Peggy Van der Weg, Marie Clark and the Van der Wegs went to the home of Andrew and Nancy Van der Weg to help Cruz celebrate his first birthday.

On Sept. 27, Joyce Kyle rode on the Relay for Life float in the Old Settlers’ Day parade at Marion.

Mary Langenegger and Joyce Kyle were guests of Glen and Daytha Langenegger on Sept. 28. They went to El Dorado and joined Gary Langenegger and Sam and Laura Humig and Anna for lunch. Later they went to Eureka and called on Vernon Ball, an uncle of Daytha’s who had just been released from the hospital.

Josh and Ashley Wiebe celebrated their daughter Faith’s fifth birthday the evening of Sept. 30. Helping celebrate were her brothers Seth and Devon, her grandparents Cecil and Jacque Wiebe, and cousins Lawson and Rose Wiebe.

Jim and Beulah Gehring called on Joyce Kyle on Sept. 29 in the afternoon and Ashley and Devon Wiebe stopped by in the evening on Oct. 1.

Four members of the Burns United Methodist Women went to Strong City on Oct. 1 to visit Doni Rogers. At noon, they went to lunch at Cottonwood Falls Senior Center.
