Theft
Jerold Brown, 66, of Hillsboro reported the theft of a coin changer machine worth $1,800 and about $200 in quarters from Welsh Laundry between 4 p.m. Sept. 1 and 7 p.m. Sept 2. There was also about $1,000 in damage to the interior of the building.
Theft
Thomas Heflin, 61, of Hillsboro reported the theft of the head of a satellite dish valued at $100 from his residence on 400 Oak St. between 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Sept. 7.

Battery
Battery causing minor injury was reported at 7:10 p.m. Aug. 28 at La Luna in Tampa. According to the offense report, a man in his 30s was battered by two family members.
