Peabody Main Street meets national criteria once again

Peabody Main Street Executive Director Shane Marler received word last week that the program was evaluated and the community has been named a nationally accredited Main Street city once again.

Marler received a letter of confirmation from Patrice Frey, President and CEO of the National Main Street Center.

“Receiving National Main Street Program status is a prestigious designation. While every designated local Main Street program can work toward accreditation, not every Main Street program receives it,” Frey wrote.

Evaluation of the Peabody program determined that it met the performance standards for 2012. This is the fourth consecutive year that PMSA has received accreditation, according to Marler.
