The 2013 Florence Labor Day parade will be devoted to honoring the volunteer firefighters of local communities. The highlight of the parade will be the “Pink Heals” fire truck honoring cancer patients and survivors. The parade theme is “Celebrating 125 Years of Volunteer Service.” Grand marshals are the Florence Volunteer Fire Department.
Parade entries are welcome. Prizes for floats are $100 for first place, $75 second, and $50 third (open class category only). The best classic car entry also will receive $50.
