Activity reports

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded.

Hillsboro

June 22 – A domestic disturbance in the 200 block of S. Jefferson St. was deemed a civil issue. Officers investigated a possible theft in the 400 block of N. Ash St., but it learned that the items thought to have been had not yet been delivered.

June 23 – A loose dog was reported in the 300 block of N. Washington St. A domestic disturbance in the 400 block of N. Ash was a verbal argument only.

June 24 – A domestic disturbance was reported in the 400 block of N. Ash St. but one of the people involved left before police arrived. Missing property was reported in the 100 block of N. Cedar St.

Thursday – Officers stood by during a civil matter in the 300 block of N. Ash St.

Friday – A 911 disconnect was reported at Parkside Homes’ duplexes. A dog running free was reported in the 100 block of N. Adams St.

Saturday – Police assisted with a civil dispute in the 300 block of W. 3rd St. A noise complaint was made in the 200 block of N. Washington St. A motorist was warned for having a headlight out at Ash and 3rd Sts.

Sunday – A motorist was warned for failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign at Ash and D Sts., and a motorist received a citation for a suspended license in the 300 block of S. Wilson St.

Marion

June 22 – A motorist was warned for speeding near Coble and Main Sts.

June 23 – A welfare check was done in the 200 block of N. 2nd St.

June 24 – An attempted scam involving Social Security was reported. Officers met with the parent of an underage driver. A person was warned for littering near 4th and Main Sts. A person was warned for being in Central Park after curfew.

Thursday – A door-to-door salesman was reported in the 300 block of S. Thorp St. and was found to have a valid permit. A motorist was warned for driving a vehicle without a special permit.

Friday – A motorist received citations for driving against restrictions, having no proof of insurance, and failing to signal. A motorist received a citation for having no driver’s license in the 1200 block of E. Main St. Officers responded to a false alarm at a business in the 1000 block of Industrial Rd

Saturday – A 911 disconnect was investigated but no one was found. A dog running free in the 200 block of Locust St. was taken to Animal Health Center. An illegally parked vehicle was moved by its owner in the 400 block of S. Roosevelt St. A motorist was warned for having no taillights near Roosevelt and Welch Sts.

Sunday – A report of fireworks being shot off in the 200 block of N. Roosevelt St. was investigated. Welfare checks were done in the 400 block of S. 4th St. and the 100 block of N. Roosevelt St.

Peabody

June 22 – Police filed complaints about three inoperable vehicles. Health and safety investigations were opened in the 600 block of E. 2nd St. and 800 block of N. Elm St.

June 23 – A wallet and purse were found and returned to their owner.

Saturday – A domestic dispute in the 600 block of W. 3rd St. proved verbal only.
