Aug. 18: Police responded to reports of a natural gas odor, suspicious activity, and handled a traffic complaint.

Aug. 20: Police assisted with a child custody exchange, which was unsuccessful. One party was advised to have his or her attorney file a contempt charge in Marion County District Court. Police responded to a dog-at-large call.

Aug. 21: Officers took a report of a stolen bicycle and the case is under investigation.

Aug. 22: Police worked a one-vehicle non-injury accident on U.S. 50 involving Emily Horst, no address given.

Aug. 23: Officers responded to a dog-at-large call.

Aug. 26: Police assisted with an investigation into the death of Girk in the early morning hours.
