Aug. 18: Police responded to reports of a natural gas odor, suspicious activity, and handled a traffic complaint.

Aug. 19: Officers took a report of a verbal domestic disturbance.

Aug. 21: Officers responded to a noise complaint, a dog complaint, and returned seized property. Officers also checked suspicious activity in the 100 block of N. Main St., and responded to a possible burglary.

Aug. 22: Officers addressed trespassing and civil property complaints.

Aug. 23: Police checked on suspicious activity in Memorial Park and handled a report of a missing bicycle.

Aug. 24: Officers handled a parking complaint and checked on suspicious activity in Memorial Park.

Aug. 19: Police responded to a call of domestic battery at 706 N. Elm. The Marion County attorney’s office recommended it be designated as a care and treatment case.

Aug. 20: Police assisted with a child custody exchange, which was unsuccessful. One party was advised to have his or her attorney file a contempt charge in Marion County District Court. Police responded to a dog-at-large call.

Aug. 21: Officers took a report of a stolen bicycle and the case is under investigation.

Aug. 22: Police worked a one-vehicle non-injury accident on U.S. 50 involving Emily Horst, no address given.

Aug. 23: Officers responded to a dog-at-large call.

Aug. 26: Police assisted with an investigation into the death of Girk in the early morning hours.
